Invest on junk cleaner software which might help you in removing all the accumulated junk and temporary files in the computer. Fragmentation of the files might also occur with the constant hard disk activities. Investing on a good defragmenting software solution is also much recommended. The disks should be checked for disk errors and this can also be accomplished with the help of the in built or stand alone tools which are available exclusively for this purpose. Antivirus software and a firewall solution must be installed on the computer to keep malware at bay. It may be tough to find programs for Windows 98, so it makes sense to switch to an upgraded OS.
